§ Trinity has both Acceptable Use (Employee Handbook) and Responsible Use Policies in affect, as well as guideline for Care and Best Practices for Technology Use.
Please be aware of the sensitive nature of information available to Trinity Faculty and Staff and consider who might happen upon what’s available to you (e.g. a document on your desk, an email on your computer screen, an overheard phone conversation from an open office or classroom door, or overheard remarks while talking in a hallway or common area).
§ Passwords must be kept confidential. They are not to be known only to you and IT. Do not share your password with anyone including students, family, or co-workers.
§ Password must meet the following complexity requirements (enforced when passwords are created or changed):
· Not contain all or part of the user's account name
· Be at least eight (8) characters in length
· Contain characters from 3 of the following 4 categories: English (1) uppercase or (2) lowercase characters (A/a through Z)/z, (3) base 10 digits (0 through 9), (4) non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
§ Users will be prompted to reset passwords every 180 days. It can only be changed while ON CAMPUS.
§ Passwords cannot be reused, as the server keeps a record of previously-used passwords.

§ All Employees at Trinity have email. Email can be accessed via the web from any computer with Internet access. Shortest route to email is mail.tsdch.org.
§ Google Groups: For internal Trinity communication (i.e. teacher-to-teacher, admin-to-teacher, admin-to-admin) we have server-managed, distribution groups (Faculty, Staff, Faculty-Staff, Lower School Teachers, Senior Staff, etc.). Your supervisor should have requested that you be added to any job-appropriate groups.

§ Calendar: Master Calendar, Division Calendars, Resource Calendars, personal calendars & creating appointments
§ We utilize SchoolDude, a work request system, for IT (and maintenance) requests.
§ Please submit all requests through this system (unless prevented due to network outage) and indicate particular deadlines you may have.
§ All requests will be handled in a prioritized, timely manner as prioritize by the IT department.
§ TRAINING: We want to help you gain & hone the technical skills you need to complete your job. We offer training throughout the year (during In-Service and during the school year after school) and are available one-on-one, as well as helping employees find online and off-site training options. Submit a SchoolDude to request training at any time.
§ Additional software and hardware requests made beyond the standard provided by the technology department must be submitted to the Division head, who will submit approved requests to the IT department. These additions will be charged to the division budgets.
§ We have many B&W and color laser printers located strategically on campus for easy, shared access.
§ We also have several copiers, including a couple color copiers.
§ Color copies & prints should be used VERY sparingly as we pay PER PAGE for color.
» Each classroom and office has a phone. These phones are for faculty & staff use only. Students must ask permission and be sent to the division receptionist to make a phone call.
§ All Faculty & Staff are given either a physical phone and corresponding voicemail extension (set-up instructions will be provided) OR we’ll have you set up a Google Voice number for your messages.
§ Our phones are part of our intercom system, so please be sure classroom phones keep the “Mic” button ON and the speaker volume loud enough to be heard, while office phones should keep the “Mic” button OFF.
§ Trinity does not provide tech support, supplies, or replacement for personal equipment (i.e. printers, laptops, iPads, etc.).
