The standard Apple programs are now an easy, reliable method to access your Trinity Google Apps account. The Mail program's support for the Global Address List is not as robust as the Gmail App, but it is accessable using the "+" by the address box. Exchange accounts are no longer required to access calendars and no additional steps are needed to see all calendars for your account. To use the native apps on an iOS device under Settings Mail, Contacts, Calendars choose Add Account and choose Google as the account type to create the account. Provide your account information and name the account to complete the setup. (Note: If you have enabled 2 Step verification, you’ll need to generate and enter an application specific password to use with your account.) If you have multiple accounts on your device for similar services, the default account is chosen under Settings Mail, Contacts, Calendars at the bottom below the Add Account choice.

Gmail app

The Gmail app with push notifications, multiple account support, and search across your entire inbox is still the most full-featured option for those who simply want access to their mail and support for the Global Address List. The Gmail app supports multiple accounts just like the native mail app and is available free from the iOS app store.

Google Calendar app

The Google Calendar app provides direct access to all your Google Calendars with the ability to easily choose to show/hide any particular calendar you would normally see on your computer. The Google Calendar app is available free from the iOS app store.

Google Drive

The Google Drive app provides access to all files in your account when online and provides an option to store selected files locally for offline availability. The i icon by the filename reveals settings including making the file available while offline, sharing, and renaming as well as other details about the file. Installing the individual Apps now available for Google Documents, Google Sheets, and Google Slides that offer full editing capability on your device for those files is highly recommended. They are available free from the iOS app store.

Other Google Programs

Google provides other programs such as Hangouts and Voice that work with your Trinity account by simply using the standard instructions from Google. If you receive an error message stating a given service is not enabled for the Trinity domain, send a notification to administrator@tsdch.org.
